The Canadian Academy of Clinical Biochemists (CACB) is monitoring the coronavirus outbreak to determine if and when we may need to take action to proactively protect the health of our staff, volunteers, partners and candidates challenging the exam.
At this time, there are no cancellations or changes to any planned exams, initiatives or activities.

As of March 11, 2020, The Public Health Agency of Canada has assessed the public health risk associated with COVID-19 as low for Canada, and at this point in time, the oral exams are scheduled to go ahead as planned.

If you are unable to sit your spring exam (due to quarantine, self-quarantine, or leave restrictions at your hospital as a result of COVID-19 protocols), the following option is available to you. You may defer your 2020 exam until the next sitting of the exam and receive a full refund of your exam fee, without losing an examination attempt, and without impacting your exam eligibility for subsequent attempts.

If you wish to defer your exam or have any questions, please contact the CACB Head Office:
