Educational programs accredited by the Canadian Academy of Clinical Biochemistry can be claimed as Category 1 credit hours. Accredited programs give 1 credit for each hour of education. For example a 3-hour symposium with a half-hour refreshment break would receive 2.5 credits.
There are a number of steps that must be completed in order to have the program accredited. The completions of the steps is your proof that the program will provide your participants with a true learning experience.
Application for accreditation is now online. To start the process, contact the CSCC Head Office with your intention and you will be given a link to access the program and begin your application. You may close a window at any time once you start the application process and return at a later time. A Word version of the application is provided as a guide to assist the applicant with gathering information.
